Toshiba unveils its latest Business laptop

Toshiba is not famous for manufacturing laptops but it is trying to establish its name in the market by offering new models.

The company has now released its new Tecra X40 laptop with primary focus on business which has few unique points as compared to its rivals. The device has 14” 1080p display while the footprint has been reduced with weight of 2.76 pounds.

Intel’s 7th generation CPU is running the laptop which is Core i5-7300U. Organizations can pick and choose their required configuration through “Built to Order” and order large quantities of laptops with their intended specifications.

Important specs of Tecra X40 include 256 GB of PCIe SSD and 2133 MHz, 8 GB DDR4 memory. The security functions are completed with Intel vPro, TPM 2.0 security chip, Windows Hello for facial recognition and biometric verification.

Connections are available via memory card slot, headphone jack, HDMI, USB 3.0, 2 USB-C ports and 802.11 ac Wi-Fi.

Thunderbolt 3 enabled USB Type-C ports provide improvement in connectivity along with addition of three displays and accessories. Perfect audio quality will be ensured by Harman Kardon speakers. The laptop comes with Windows 10 Pro by default and uses 40 Wh battery.

The starting price of Tecra X40 is $1329.99 which is quite expensive but the laptop is for enterprise users and it is expected to be expensive. The Thunderbolt 3 dock will be available separately for $299.99.
