Toyota is the giant in vehicle manufacturing and it has been working in this field of manufacturing of vehicles for many years. The company is not taking new paradigm shift in its policy and now it is going to work on the electric vehicles, which can help to make the environment friendly. The company has installed the in-house unit in which the engineers, designers and other technical staff will be shifted and this unit will start working within two weeks. More staff and machinery will be shifted in this unit with the demand of the work.

The company maintained the hydrogen fuel cells, which is the primary choice for zero emission models and the cost and lack of hydrogen infrastructure in the world market, the interest of the customers in the battery powered electric vehicle is increased and the company has changed its direction in making the vehicles. It is expected that Toyota will release its first EV in the market by 2020 and the car makers announced that they will launch the virtual company to examine and develop the EVs.

Electric Vehicles Become Feasible at Quick Pace

The competitors like Volkswagen, Nissan and Tesla Motors have shown their interest and the deemed zero emission electric vehicles are most feasible for the future. Toyota is focusing on the ultra compact and short distance vehicles and they did not show much interest in spreading its electric market.

The analysts said that the company is changing its position. They are still talking about the hybrid and fuel cells but the battery electric vehicles are getting traction. The fuel cells are the competitive alternative of the electric vehicles and different things are going on right with the use of battery electric cars.
