According to a research by France’s National Institute of Health & Medical Research, there are changes in brain of children when they are progressing to adulthood. Therefore, efforts should be made to make it their habit to eat walnuts from this age because walnuts are full of omega 3 which improves the function of brain.
According to experts, walnuts have all such necessary ingredients that protect weakening of memory with advance age. Omega 3 fatty acids are very important for body and mind which is also present in spinach, oily fish, soya bean and flax seeds.
The experts conduct few researches on rats in which they were given few ingredients present in walnut and then they checked their memory. It proved that walnuts maintain mental abilities and eradicates depression.
These experiments also told that communication between neurons of rats also strengthened by eating walnuts and these neurons improve memory. Walnuts also keep our psychological health in balance.
Prior to that, scientists of Imperial College London have told that daily consumption of walnuts and other nuts, like almonds can protect us from heart diseases. It means that eating 20 grams nuts like peanuts, cashew etc. can reduce heart diseases by 20%.
Apart from that, sunflower seeds and walnuts also contain large amount of antioxidants that help to stop the destruction of cellular surface. Walnuts also contain selenium which is also very important for brain.
