WhatsApp to stop Working after Dec 30


The world’s most popular messaging platform will not support your old phone now which means you have to upgrade it or buy a new one. ‘

By the end of 2016, WhatsApp is going to end its support for millions of smartphones that are using outdated OS while the support will not be available after 30th December 2016 for phones containing Windows 7, iPhone 3GS and devices running on Android 2.1 and Android 2.2.

WhatsApp is present in the market for last 7 years and now the service has updated its interface in order to provide better functionality and more security. But the older cellphones with outdated OS and hardware can’t support these updates.

WhatsApp has already told in February 2016 that at the end of this year, the messaging service will end support for BlackBerry 10, BlackBerry OS, Nokia Symbian S60, Nokia S40, Android 2.2, Android 2.1, iPhone 3GS and Windows Phone 7.

The app told in its blog that the users should upgrade the newer version of Android, Windows Phone or iPhone till the end of 2016 to use WhatsApp if they are using any of these handsets

But later the app, currently owned by Facebook, told that it will extend support for BlackBerry 10, BlackBerry OS, Nokia Symbian S60 and Nokia S40 till June 2017.
