In the iOS and Android App stores an Urdu version of Whatsapp is going to be available very soon.
Also the translation will be not be required to reveal at best time. The Mobile rates are enhancing at a steady space and Whatsapp have got more or less replaced SMS.
However most of us have changed it to roman Urdu as a stop gap measure, a committed Urdu version of Whatsapp could be so welcome news for the people who do not understand English. People in rural location could specifically get advantage from it.
The translator administrator for the project is Ahsan Saeed, he mentioned:
“I have translated about 753 strings and as well moderated about 2089 strings in less than three months and managed to create Urdu 18th language in which this software for Android has been fully translated.
Without help of volunteer translator this was not possible who put their efforts for the love of Urdu.”
This effort could enhance Whatsapp’s previously stellar market share and it is going to be certainly have the telcos marking their heads at how to drench the once productive lands of SMS. Lately, messaging numbers reduced primarily in history at Eid occasion.
If SMS was not dead previously, it is certainly on its way there right now.
