In 2020, the ‘Robot Olympics’ will be held in Japan while it is the same year that Olympic Games will be hosted by Japanese capital Tokyo.
At the same time, the human athletes and their robot counterparts will test their muscles during ‘Olympic games’ and ‘World Robot Summit’ respectively.
The event will be hosted by trade ministry of Japan during which competition and exhibition will be presented while humanoid and industrial robots will be included in this summit, as told by a govt. official.

So far, exact location and date for the event hasn’t been finalized while ministry is now inviting bids from Japanese cities famous for robotic technology.
Recently, Japan has sent a robot in space who would talk to the Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata that will help to know performance of robots for company isolated people.
Apart from that, Japan is also using robots as farmers and kitchen workers as shortage in labour force is getting worse due to high percentage of older people.
Japan is hopeful for the participation of high tech robots in the upcoming 2020 summit. In July 2020, Tokyo will host summer Olympics which will be followed by Paralympics.
The Cutting-Edge IT & Electronics Comprehensive Exhibition (CEATEC) is the biggest tech fair in Asia while it is currently hosted by Tokyo in the presence of many robots.
