Despite the end of ‘Apna Rozgar’ scheme, the sales of cars in the current fiscal year 2016-17 will increase due to high local demands and they are expected to reach 21,000 units.

There was 25% declines in sales of Pak Suzuki in 5MFY 16 as it sold 43,553 units during the period. It was because of end of taxi scheme that declined the sale of ‘Ravi’ and ‘Bolan’ vehicles.

Indus Motor Company (IMC) has sold 23,783 units in 5MFY16 which shows the decline of 8%. The reason for this decline was production breakdowns of the company which the company just recovered in November this year.

But Honda showed the increase of 49% as it sold 14,155 units in 5MFY16. This reason for this increase was the manufacturing of 10th Generation Civic with turbocharged engine for the first time in Pakistan.
