China has decided to build first ‘forest city’ of the world in order to fight against the air pollution and also reduce the production of toxic gases. It is expected that total 30,000 people will be populated in this city and 40,000 trees will be grown in this city, which will absorb 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide, 57 tons of pollutants and these newly planted trees will also produce about 900 tons of oxygen per year.
The architects have designed this city, Stefano Boeri and it is being constructed in Liuzhou, Guangxi province in China. This forest city will have roughly million plants of about 100 species with 40,000 trees will be planted in all possible surfaces. The Liuzhou forest city will be connected with already developed city of Liuzhou through the series of electric cars and the fast rail services. It is expected that two hospitals will be constructed and number of schools will be set up there. The plans are being made to make the forest city self sustainable, when we talk about the power generation with the use of geothermal and solar energy resources.
It is stated in the website of the architect that the trees and plants are diffused not only in the parks and gardens or with the streets but also they are grown on the building facades, and they will also allow the energy self sufficient city to improve the air quality and it will absorb both CO₂ and fine dust of 57 tons per year and decrease the average air temperature to create the noise barriers and also improve biodiversity of living species and generate the habitat for insects, birds and small animals that will settle the Liuzhou territory.
The government has announced the completion of latest floating solar farm of the world and now they are going to make the green living and they started the construction of first forest city of the world in order to reduce the air pollution.
