Sydney, Cricket Australia announced the best T20 team of the year and they have included Pakistani star player, Shahid Afridi in the best T20 team of the year. The Australian board appointed Virat Kohli as the captain of the T20 team of Australia and in the batting order, the top batsmen are included in which David Warner, Jason Roy, Virat Kohli, Ab De Villairs, Andre Russell, Jose Butler and Farhan Bahardein. The other players are Shahid Afridi, Adam Zampa, Jaspreet Bimrah and Mustafeez ur Rehman.
They kept Shahid Afridi on the eighth position due to his bowling performance rather than his batting performance. Shahid played PSL from Peshawar Zalmi and he showed his performance in the event. He took five wickets for seven runs and showed his career best bowling. He also played the English season but he could not show his performance but he created problems for the English batsmen. He played BPL in which he took 17 wickets and he remained in the top ten T20 bowlers of the year 2016 and he had good bowling rate in the event.
