The federal government is going to make the collaboration with the PTV in order to launch the new tv channel, which will be dedicated for the provision of education to the students. due to coronavirus outbreak in Pakistan, the students are sitting in their homes as there is lockdown across the country and the students are suffering badly as the educational institutes are closed. This decision for the setting up of the new tv channel was made during a meeting, which is chaired by the Federal Minister for Education, Shafqat Mahmood and the Professional Training and National Heritage convened to discuss the alternate educational content delivery mechanism during the period of COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
The spokesperson said that it was decided to mitigate the educational losses, the federal ministry will introduce the national tv channel for the provision of education to the students. During the meeting, it was agreed that the content will be developed after making the partnership with different education service providers free of cost and the interest has been solicited. The FDE will set up the emergency learning carters and the subject specialists will review and schedule the content.
The federal minister will review the progress of the tv channel on the daily basis and the channel will start its broadcasting from first half of April. The government has given the briefing to all provinces in the conference of the education ministers on 26 March and the minister has also acknowledged the efforts of all officials / staff, which is engaged in this process.
