The Fate of Furious or it is commonly known as Fast 8 by the fans and it has managed to bring the crowd back in the cinemas in Pakistan. This is the latest installment of this movie, which is released now over the weekend. The Fate of the Furious is the highest grossing movie, which is launched at the weekend in Pakistan. On the opening weekend, this movie earned total Rs.40 million and it broke all previous records in the country.
The top three highest grossing movies in Pakistan are ranked according to the opening weekend sales, which are:
- The Fate of The Furious or Fast 8, Rs. 40 million
- Furious 7 or Fast 7, Rs. 27 million
- Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, Rs. 22 million
Cinemas in Pakistan:
There are over 120 cinemas in Pakistan and most of the cinemas are located in Karachi. They are about half of the movie cinemas from back in 2003-2004. It is reported by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, there were total 376 cinema houses in Pakistan in which 246 cinema houses were located in Punjab only. When the movie industry of Pakistan faced the decline, then the subsequent ban of Indian movies, the cinema houses made the comeback slowly.
