FBR introduces a new offline application for the sales tax returns. An updated version will also enable offline income tax return.

In the continuity of its policy of facilitation of taxpayers and ensuring ease of doing business, the fbr has released an application that allows the taxpayer to prepare data related to sales tax return, which includes invoices, debit/credit note and sales tax withholding, in offline mode.

Using this application the taxpayer can prepare the sales tax invoices without remaining connected to the internet, so that the issues like connectivity, peak load, system down time etc will have no effect on the speed of the data entry.

This will also make the work easy for the data preparation of large taxpayers which includes DISCO’s, MNC’s etc. this will also benefit the buyers who require input adjustments on purchases from large taxpayers, and this will enhance the whole supply chain.

Keep in mind that this is the first version of iris-ADX which is going to be further enhanced that will also allow offline preparation of all the declarations which includes tax return and the statement in the future.
