For the advancement in telecom and Information Technology, the Government of Pakistan is taking reasonable initiatives. The good news for IT Professionals is that the federal government recently launched the Digital Pakistan Internship Portal in this regard.
The federal Secretary Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MOITT), Shoaib Ahmad Siddique inaugurated the portal in the inauguration ceremony. The Internship Portal will help in hiring process of IT professionals for tech companies and will remove the gap between education and industry as well to promote technology. The main purpose of the Digital Pakistan Internship Portal is to take the IT Industry, Universities and graduates on a single platform to increase the collaboration and cooperation among all.
The portal is designed by MOITT in such a way that a tech company can post industrial problem in it and by direct collaboration with the tech companies, IT students would solve these problems. In this way students will be able to gain more knowledge and will be industry-ready by the time they graduate.
While addressing in the launch ceremony the Secretary MOITT stated that,
“Digital Pakistan Internship Portal is the first step in the right direction. The move will eliminate the impediments to the growth of Pakistan’s IT sector”
The Secretary also appreciated the talent of the youth of Pakistan and said the young generation plays a vital part in the population of the country. So the utilization of the youth’s talent of the younger population is necessary so that they may be able to play a constructive role in the development of the country.
