At last good news regarding the Hajj costs came from the federal government. The Govt plans to decrease the Hajj expenses by 60,000. The decision was taken on the Tuesday while introducing Hajj Package by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. It is officially revealed that a proposal will be presented to the federal cabinet for approval by the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Noor Ul Haq Qadri. The federal minister proposed to decrease the Hajj expenses by 50,000 to 60, 000 and said that as compared to previous, the Hajj package will be more expensive.

The Ministry for Religious Affairs will launch the Hajj Package 2020 after passing the proposal from cabinet. It is expected that that federal cabinet will chair with Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss various issues including a reduction in prices of essential commodities, Hajj package, and a probe against artificial inflation.

The federal ministry concluded at the Upper House meeting that due to devaluation of rupee and airfare hike the Hajj expenses were increased. According to Minister of Religious Affairs approximately 179,000 pilgrims will be sent to perform Hajj this year under the government’s Hajj Scheme 2020.
