First trailer of movie “Selma”, based on the life of famous American leader Martin Luther King who raised the voice for citizen rights, has been released. In this movie, directed by Ava DuVernay, there is shooting of the people’s movement of 1954-68 in which not only the issue of racism was raised but it also talked about the rights of ordinary citizens. A young man Martin Luther King comes forward along with his four companions against the atrocities on black citizens and for their rights. He sparks a new enthusiasm in the American people which later changed into a revolution. Hollywood actor David Oyelowo is performing the main role of Martin Luther King while the important roles are performed by Oprah Winfrey, Carmen Ejogo, Tim Roth, Tessa Thompson, Cuba Gooding and Tom Wilkinson. This historical movie; produced by Brad Pitt, Oprah Winfrey, Dede Gardner and Christian Colson; will release on 9th January 2015 in cinemas under Paramount Pictures.
