+

HP has launched the update to Elite X2 convertible with new 1012 model and 2 in 1 comes with bigger display and the improvements to the internal specs. The additional plus is the better repair-ability of the device. It is designed as Surface tablet, which is competitor and Elite X2 is Windows 10, which is convertible by the default.

Display and internals

The tablet has the display of 12.3 inch panel with better WQXGA+ with 2736 x 1824 resolution with up to 450 units of brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has the 165 degree kickstand on back and Harman Kardon-built stereo speakers on the front side.

This would give it an edge against the convertible with lack of good speaker system. The clients will also get Core i3 Kaby Lake processor with integrated HD Graphics 620. It is also coupled with up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB PCIe-based SSD. They can also get Core i7 Kaby Lake with same option of the graphics.

When the clients look for the wireless connectivity, it is included with Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi ac and LTE. It is added with fingerprint scanner on back, which is the odd design choice and convertible is used in ‘laptop’ and ‘tablet’. The audiojack will be provided for support to the existing headsets. The tablet, Elite X2 can last for 10hours on the single charge. There is another added perk for bundling of the keyboard and pen with every unit sold. The clients will have the options to upgrade the keyboard with NFC and Smart Card support. The keyboard options are included with backlighting with is small but the convenient feature.
