Star India bought the broadcasting rights of the IPL matches for 5 years from 2018 to 2022 for 16347.5 crore rupees. this amount is the biggest broadcasting rights deal in the history of cricket and BCCI will get 54 crore rupees from every IPL match for the next five years.
Star India has signed the 2.55 billion dollar agreement, which is 258 percent than the previous rights of IPL. BCCI offered the broadcasting rights in 7 different categories.
