The National Testing Service (NTS) and other testing services have been given the task to conduct the written test for the recruitment of the candidates in various government departments. The sub-committee of the Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology terms these testing services as the hubs of loot and plunder. IT Committee Says NTS & Other Testing Services Loot & Plunder People. The sub-committee of Senate met under chair of its Convener Kalsoom Perveen. The report said that these testing services like NTS are hubs of loot and plunder as they take heavy amount from the candidates but most of the candidates belong to poor families and it is difficult for them to appear in the recruitment test of various government departments.
The deserving candidates cannot qualify in the test and they appear in the tests again and again with the hope to get the government jobs. Every time the candidates have to pay the heavy amount in the name of fee, but it exploits the candidates and they refrain from getting the job. The chairperson of the standing sub-committee of Senate on IT also reported that these testing services like NTS know no boundaries and there is also lack of transparency. There are different serious controversies and scandals in the NTS and it is high time for federal government to conduct the resting services to task and they should be shut down immediately.
The Senate standing committee recommended that the comprehensive mechanism should be set up for the recruitment in federal and provincial government departments the relevant ministries will have the active involvement at the federal and provincial levels. Various public and private sector recruitment is made through the testing and assessment services, which are now rampant in Pakistan.
