Lahore, Disneyland like theme park is going to be prepared on the Lahore-Islamabad Motoryway, M-2, near Kala Shah kaku. The Director General, of Parks and Horticulture Authority, Shakeel Ahmed said that the Chinese company, Golden Bean checked and visited different sites then the company decided to make the first Disneyland theme park on Lahore Islamabad Motorway, M2.
The DG of PHA said that it was the huge project, which would take two years to complete. Commissioner of Lahore Division, Abdullah Khan Sumbal said the government of Punjab would provide the role of facilitator during this project.
The commissioner of Lahore Division also said that this project would cost for Rs. 32 billion and the Chinese company would provide the whole amount and the company will start its working on the project on the procurement of land, construction and execution of the project.
The government of Punjab will provide the uninterrupted electricity supply to the project till its completion through special feeders. The government will also provide the facility to construct the approach road, which will lead to the proposed amusement park. He further added that there would be five star hotel, business and shopping centers, water aquarium, excellent rides along with the breathtaking rollercoaster.
The commissioner also told that Punjab government showed three different sites to the Chinese investors to carry on their working for the theme park in which Kala Shah Kaku, Raiwind Road and the theme part and he liked the later on. The Chinese investors like to give preference to this place for making the theme park, which is located on Motorway, M-2 and it will be close to the adjoin areas of districts of Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sialkot and other nearby areas. The company will acquire 320 to 350 acres of land to make the proposed theme park and it will have direct access from the motorway, M-2.
