M Irfan Banned from Cricket for 1 Year


Suspended cricketer for spot fixing case, , has been banned from cricket for 1 year and also fined Rs. 1 million.

During a press conference in Lahore, the legal team of Pakistan Cricket Board said that M Irfan has been ineligible for one year during which he will be suspended from cricket for 6 months. During this, if  follows the directions, pay Rs. 1 million fine and be a part of PCB anti-corruption lecture then his next 6 months punishment can be cancelled. He will remain away from every type of cricket during his ban and his central contract will also be cancelled.

M Irfan said during the press conference that he was suspended on 14th March in spot fixing case. He was offered spot fixing on two separate occasions but he rejected these offers. Unfortunately, he could not inform PCB about these offers for which he is sorry from the whole nation.

It should be cleared that  receives Rs. 500,000 pay under central contract while he will also miss ICC Champions Trophy.
