NASA Discovers Solar System with 7 Planets Earth-Like

+

Recently, a new solar system has been discovered by scientists of ESO (European Southern Observatory) and NASA which is expected to support life on at least three of its planets. Scientists told that these planets are present in the ‘habitable zone’.

In this solar system, a red dwarf star is surrounded by seven earth-sized planets. In three of these planets, the suitable temperature and presence of oceans is making chance of life while the surface of the six inner ones is rocky as that of earth. It means that there is almost no doubt about finding a planet similar to earth and now it is just matter of time to find such planet/s.

The alien life is expected in the other four planets due to the likely presence of liquid water on these planets. But, these planets are very small, cold and close to each other due to which the scientists are unaware about the type of life present there.

As compared to previous announcement in which life was expected in few ‘exoplanets’, the recent statement is more amazing and interesting. Hope of presence of life has increased as the surface structure of few of these planets is quite similar to that of earth.

The recent discovery is quite special as it is the first time that scientists have found the solar system with planets that have the features to support life and also have the same size that of earth and all these things point towards alien life on these planets.

Researchers want to make sure the presence of life in these planets by viewing other similarities to earth like the presence of oxygen in the atmosphere of these planets. By the end of next decade, the scientists are expecting to find about any existing life on these planets.

But it is also said by the scientists that the star is quite young due to which it will not be strange if they could not find any life on these planets. This star is just 500 million years old as compared to our sun’s 4.6 billion age. There are chances of development of life on these planets and it will be just infant even when the sun is dying after completing its age.

As compared to several other systems, this planetary system is quite close to us as it is just around 40 light years away from Earth. It means we can expect life very close to us.
