Karachi, National under 16 football tournament is going to be started from June 07, 2013 in Arifwala District Pakpattan. Earlier this tournament was planned to be held at Okara from May 31, 2013 but the date of commencement of the tournament and venue has been changed.
There are 12 teams, which are participating in the tournament including eight provincial/regional teams like Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Islamabad, AJK, FATA and Gilgit Baltistan. There are four other teams including Peshawar, Lahore, Quetta and Karachi.
Earlier District Football Association Pakpatten President and under 16 National Football Championship Organizing Secretary, Ch. Amjad died on Friday. The President of Pakistan Football Association, Faisal Saleh Hayat and Secretary General Colonel (Retired) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi condoled on his sad death.
Whereas handicap snooker tournament is also being played in which pair of Sufiyan Merchant and Shaheryar Guzdarki beatMuhammad Zeeshan and Umair Idrees and they qualified for the quarterfinal. There are various other matches, which are going to be played among different players.
