New Scam on WhatsApp

Recently, a new WhatsApp scam has been discovered. Users of famous messaging app are receiving messages to install WhatsApp in different colors and then take them to a malicious website with domain similar to that of WhatsApp. This website redirects the users to another website that ask the users to send the link to friends or groups to verify human presence. After completing these processes, an adware is installed on their computers through a chrome extension.

Any experienced WhatsApp user knows that such link is fake because WhatsApp never sends updates through messages. But few can fall to prey of such scams which could be an achievement for the scammers.

Therefore, it is important for the users to stay away from such scam messages and also avoid sharing such links to other users of WhatsApp.
