These days, HTC just can’t catch a break. Despite churning out stellar products like the HTC One, the company has been in rough financial shape for a while now.

Nokia, which coincidentally has one of the biggest patent portfolios in the mobile space, is one of the company’s biggest threats. Justice Arnold of the England and Wales High Court has ordered an injunction against the Taiwanese manufacturer’s products, which are in violation of Nokia’s EP0998024 patent on “modular structure for a transmitter and a mobile station” and the Finish company has won a patent lawsuit against HTC.

HTC’s argument is that the technology should be covered in a deal between Nokia and Qualcomm in the US and is a part of the Qualcomm chips the uses. But as the judge has issued the injunction so to no avail and as to give time HTC to appeal, it has been delayed until Friday. Nokia could file to ban HTC One sales in the UK, if that doesn’t happen.

To Nokia, HTC’s One mini has already fallen victim and from December 6, will be banned from selling. HTC has evoked examples like BlackBerry, Apple, LG, Google, Sony and Samsung, which all infringe on said patent, but to save its case, that wasn’t enough.

Nokia forced HTC to change the radios and microphones inside the One by achieving a sales ban against the One smartphone line in the UK before. Regarding its wireless patents, battery-saving patent in Germany, Nokia also won against HTC.
