Pak Suzuki is going to launch the new version of Suzuki Cultus. Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMCL) stopped taking the new booking of the vehicle, Suzuki Cultus.
PSMCL is making the plan to release the new model of the vehicle so that they can replace Cultus. This vehicle is known as Suzuki Celerio in the international market and it is introduced in Pakistani market as ‘Cultus’. The pending orders of the vehicle are placed at the authorized dealerships of the vehicle for previous model of the vehicle, Cultus and this vehicle will be delivered as per their commitments and orders.
On the other hand, Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers have announced that they will provide the parts to the current models of the vehicle till 6 February. The chairman of the association showed their hope that the new model of Cultus will have a better localization of parts so that they can keep the price of the vehicle low to the possible extent.
A Runaway Success
Suzuki Cultus got success in the market, when it was launched in the automotive market in 2000 and it replaced the vehicle, Suzuki Khyber. The production of the vehicle stood at 4635 units with sales at 4824 units in the year 2000. The production of the vehicle was increased in 2015-2016 and the production of the vehicle went to 16772 units and the sale of the vehicle is increased to 16450 units.
The clients can get the current model at the price of Rs.1.124 million for petrol variant and they can also bought the CNG variant for Rs.1.199 million, as mentioned on the website of the company.
Pak Suzuki informed the Senate Standing Committee on Industries and Production in October that the company will introduce the new model of the vehicle, Suzuki Celerio in March and this vehicle will replace Suzuki Cultus.
No Celerio in Sight
The spokesperson for Pak Suzuki rejected the claims that they are going to launch Suzuki Celerio in future and he said that company has made the plan to introduce all new models with the name of Cultus in manual VXR and VXL models by end of April this year following the automatic version depending on the demand of the market.
