Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 3 wickets in its 4th and last league match. Now, Pakistan will play against Sri Lanka on 8th March for the final of this event. Pakistan achieved the target of 329/7 in 49.5 overs. Before that, Bangladeshi skipper Mushfiq-ur-Rahim won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 326 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Pakistan also started well and first wicket of M Hafeez fell when the score was 97. Hafeez scored 52 runs. But then, three 3 wickets fell in a hurry. After that, Ahmed Shehzad (103) and Fawad Alam (74) took responsibility. Later on, Shahid Afridi’s blistering 59 paved the way for Pakistan’s victory. He made that score on 25 balls with 7 sixes and 2 fours. He was named as ‘man of the match’ for his match-winning performance. The match became more thrilling in the end when two set batsmen, Shahid Afridi and Fawad Alam, got run out. But at that moment, Umar Akmal (14) finished the match successfully. From Bangladesh side, Momin-ul-Haq took two wickets, while Shakib-Al-Hasan, Abdul-Razzaq and Mahmud Ullah took one wicket each.
