Islamabad, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has made up the decision to block all un-verified smart phones and devices after 20 October. At this time, various unverified smart phones and devices are functioning in the country and PTA has decided to block all such mobile phones and devices, which are not verified by PTA. Now PTA started the process and send the SMS to all users across the country to get verified their smart phones and GSM devices. They can send their IMEI no to 8484 and find whether their mobile phones and GSM devices are verified from PTA or not. If any user does not receive such SMS, he can also use this procedure for the verification of his mobile phone or GSM device.
PTA said that only PTA approved mobile phones and devices will remain active after 20 October. If your mobile phone or GSM device is not approved or verified from PTA then it will be blocked by PTA after 20 October 2018. PTA has offered three different ways for the verification of the mobile phones and devices. The users can check the verification of the smart phone by SMS, website and through the application. If you want to check through mobile phone, then you need to send IMEI to 8484 via SMS and you will find the status of your smart phone. The users will also find the IMEI no by dialing *#06#.
