Design

The S6 device was manufactured from scratch and thank God Samsung throw out the plastic and faux leather body and swapped it with premium glass and metal. The Smartphone is not just great to see at although, is a contentment to hold and use. On the front and back of the device it’s protected with Gorilla Glass and it’s all held together by a full metal frame.

Regarding the HTC One M9 is quite alike to its predecessors the M7 and M8 in overall looks, although that is not a bad thing as they were stunning. Processor and Memory

S6 is equipped with Samsung’s own 64-bit Exynos 7420 octa-core processor along with 4 cores clocked at 1.5GHz and four cores clocked at 2.1GHz. It is equipped with 32GB/64GB/128GB models along with 3GB of DDR4 RAM while the memory is not extendable. Be sure the Exynos is a 14nm chip so it might run cooler than the Snapdragon. In addition, the company is using a faster version of memory which is called UFS that has a major speed advantage.

HTC One M9 is featuring a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor along with 4 cores clocked at 1.5GHZ and four cores clocked at 2.0GHz.  The HTC One M9 contains 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be extended up to 128GB via a microSD card.

As well the front facing snapper has been improved with 5MP which is skillful for taking selfies and video chats even in low light conditions.

While it comes to HTC One M9 cameras it really exceeds expectations with Sony 20.7MP sensor with autofocus, dual-tone LED flash however unfortunately no OIS, which is a rather considerable omission. The One M9 is equipped with a 4MP UltraPixel camera at the front.

Battery

The S6 device equipped with a non-removable, wireless charging enabled 2550mAh battery that can be charged to last for 4 hours in just 10 minutes. Although, the battery is smaller, it should last for an entire day.

The M9 contains the dual front-facing stereo speakers with BoomSound, along with IR Blaster, stereo FM radio and comes in Gunmetal Gray, Amber Gold, Silver/Rose Gold and Gold/Pink.  In the month of March it should be available in the market operating with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Verdict

If I would select one of them, I would go for S6 since it has been designed from scratch and awesome look. Apart from designs, it beats the M9 in features including as better camera options, fingerprint scanner and heart rate sensor as well as optical image stabilization in the camera. Its faster UFS storage could as well confirm to be a major benefit.
