According to the minister, terrorists are using these instant messaging apps for communication and they are switching to internet based instant messaging from conventional communication channel. That’s why govt. has decided to ban these applications.

In the name of security, cellular networks, VPN, Skype and various other services have remained blocked during the past.

Sindh information Minister says that his govt. will contact PTA to get the decision implemented as blockade of any service is implemented by PTA on the orders of MOITT.

However our sources at PTA said that PTA is liable to MOTTI and may not entertain Sindh Govt. request without approval from federal government.
