Smart Street That Produces Electricity
In the famous ‘Bird Street’ of UK, the buyers can now produce electricity just by walking and it is the world’s first smart street of that type.
According to the company that laid down this street, pavegan, the purpose for this street is to highlight streets of future so that people can shop with ease in a pollution and traffic free area and can also play their role in progress by producing electricity through walking.
So far, this road is just 10 square meter long in which there are special panels that produce electricity from pressure of human feet. There are shops of food and clothes on both sides of this street. There is a big shopping center Oxford Street close to the Bird Street but there is lot of noise in that street while Bird Street is noise free because the customers have to walk in this street.
“V3” is the name given to electricity producing panel which is of triangular shape and one panel produces 5 watt of electricity continuously. This panel converts human kinetic energy to electricity which helps in charging street lamps, speakers and Bluetooth transmitters.
The buyers can know their production of electricity through displays on street and also through their smartphones. Apart from that, there are special benches in collaboration with “Airlabs” that eliminates nitrogen dioxide and other harmful air pollutants and fresh air emits from sides of benches.
A modern concept of shopping centers in the 21st century is also depicted thorough units made in the style of origami.
