Apart from Japan, Toyota Aqua or Toyota Prius C is not a very popular car in other parts of world but more than 40,000 units of the said car have been sold in Japan in the Q1 of 2017. ‘Baby Prius’ is the public name of this car as it is the smaller and cheap version of the larger Toyota Prius car. In 2018, Toyota has decided to facelift the Toyota Aqua.
There are several important features in the face lifted Toyota Aqua including the front with a large hexagonal shaped air intake, new narrow LED headlights with daytime running lights and styled louvers near fog lights. The features at the rear side include more squared rear bumper, a dark tint and new vertical taillights. Toyota Aqua Crossover is the name of new version of the said car in which traditional hatchback looks have been replaced by a rugged SUV design.
A new standard TFT touch screen infotainment system and a revised interior styling are part of the face lifted Toyota Aqua. For the Aqua car, Toyota is also providing the brand new TRD (Toyota Racing Development) body kit apart from just a face lift. Main features of this TRD Toyota Aqua are side skirts, a chin spoiler, rear twin exhaust pipes, bigger wheels, larger LED headlights with daytime running lights, fog lights and large hexagonal grille. In this latest car, 100bhp hybrid hatchback is also included.
1.5 liter engine is providing the power to the car while 38 km/l is the fuel economy of the car due to the combination of hybrid control system and better engine. Slightly lower 34.4 km/l is the fuel economy of Toyota Aqua Crossover.
