Warid Asks Customers to Upgrade Their SIMs for 4G LTE

According to reports, Warid will very soon offer 4G LTE trial services to its customers.

Warid said that they approach to those of their customers who are already using 4G enabled handsets in order to make them update their current SIM cards to the SIMs compatible to 4G LTE before the trial launch of 4G LTE.

Warid said that before its anticipated launch of 4G LTE, it is planning to ship new upgraded SIMs to the doorsteps of its customers.

Those customers will be given access to Warid’s 4G network who are already using 4G enabled handsets during trial period and it is expected that during the trial period, the company will offer free 4G LTE services to the customers.

Though, it is unclear that when Warid will offer the trial services of 4G LTE but it appears that they’ll launce these services soon as Warid is in the process of up gradation of SIM cards of customers. From close sources, we know September 2014 might be the month to launch these services.

It is right to mention that 4G SIM cards are different from the current 2G-3G SIMs and their upgrading is necessary.

4G enabled handsets are also must to experience 4G LTE services. Warid customers are likely to have the upload/download speeds of 50Mbps on their mobiles with 4G LTE network.

Warid is trying to deploy 4G LTE network in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Gujranwala and Faisalabad. For its LTE network rollout, Warid contracted with Ericsson.
