“Popular Times” is a feature in Google that was launched last year to provide information about peak hours of a specific area to help you visit that place. Now Google has announced to provide real-time information of different areas.

Now you can easily find the crowd capacity in an area before planning to go there with your friends that will help you know about the time it is expected for you to stay there.

Another feature has also been added by Google through which you know about the time spending of people at a particular place.

Apart from that, Google has also introduced information about the time of different services. We can assume that there is a tuck shop at a petrol pump while there could be difference in timing of both these services. It will also be included in the ‘Popular Times’.

According to reports, Google estimates the number of people at a specific place by using our smartphones for privacy protected data.

Change in Interface

With addition of new features, the interface has also been changed slightly. Now you will be able to see the ‘live’ picture of the place instead of eh normal search.

Future Advancements

In order to get more information, Google has been making technology advancements. After detection of a place, the users are asked by Google about the place they visit. They also build your profile after asking you some questions about the places you visit.

Through this information, the company knows about the taste, liking and preferences of different people. This information is later used to tell people about the most suitable place for them.
