After the US court order for the removal of blasphemous movie, Google ahs finally removed the anti-Islamic video from You Tube.

PTA and Ministry of IT has confirmed the removal of blasphemous movie “Innocense of Muslims” from its website along with around 1,000 other links.

For reopening of YouTube services in Pakistan, the removal of this anti-Islam video should surely pave the way. But, now Google has vowed to change the ruling of US court, which is worth mentioning.

The government should also devise a policy in case Google wins the case, if it decides to reopen YouTube.

Before the expected 3G and 4G auction in the coming months, it will be a welcome sign to see the opening of YouTube.

Since Sep 2012 when an Anti-Islamic film “Innocence of Muslims” sparked worldwide protests, YouTube has been banned in Pakistan. After a lawsuit by an actress who claimed she was tricked into appearing in the blasphemous film, a US court ordered the removal of the film on Wednesday this week.
