At PTA headquarters, an awareness seminar on the Internet of Things (IOT) was organized by Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA). The seminar was attended by members of academia, authorities from telecom sector, senior officers of PTA including PTA chairman Dr Ismail Shah, Member (compliance & enforcement) Abdul Samad and Member (finance) Tariq Sultan and others.
The participants of IOT were given a comprehensive presentation by Mr. Shoaib Akmal. He informed the participants about IOT Applications, sensors, cloud computing, networks along with components and devices of IOT.

Mr. Shoaib Akmal is an expert of telecom industry who has experience of over 15 years in the wireless industry of USA. On different 3G and 4G wireless topics, he has conducted several seminars and training sessions. He has guided and trained several top level technical managers of wireless operator and also beginner level engineers in USA.
It should be remembered that you can connect billions of devices together through the latest world order of Internet of Things (IOT). We can expect that these devices can make human life more fitting and effective due to their capability of communicating, sensing and decision making.
From wireless network to the application development and from the electronic sensors to clod the computer, a huge effect will be produced by IOT. The attendees of this workshop will know about different constituents and concepts of IOT.
