Warid Telecom is going to start the launching of fund raising programs for the earthquake affected people in Balochistan province in Avaran district. Warid has launched this fund raising movement by making partnership with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to carry out various relief works in the area. In this dangerous earthquake, which had the magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter scale, which claimed various lives, leaving hundred wounded and raised the houses in the area.

Warid Telecom has decided to assist NDMA in carrying out the relief efforts in the area and has created and maintained the short code for the Warid subscribers to send the blank SMS to 6362 and donate the Rs.10+t for the earthquake affected people.

Warid telecom will collect the fund sending by their subscribers and deposit the said amount in the Fund of National Disaster Management Authority after every 20 days, which will help NDMA to carry on their efforts for the execution of the people from this natural disaster.

The Chief Commercial Officer of Warid Telecom has also said that it is the need of the hour that Warid subscribers should contribute in this fund raising movement and help their fellow countrymen, who are under critical circumstances at this stage. He also said that they would also remembering the people through different social media services so that they can participate in this movement of fund raising and donate generously for the victims of earthquake affected people.

With the introduction of SMS short code by Warid, the Warid subscribers will be made contact through social media including facebook and twitter, so that they can be shared the list of donation centers and items, which are necessary for the earthquake affected people.

The people can use the hashtag#WaridEQHelp on the social media to create the awareness among other people to help the affected people of this natural disaster.
